On this page, I go into detail about the effort, thought, and dedication that goes into each shipment. From selecting the best materials to providing proper ventilation and temperature control, I personally ensure that every invert is given the attention it deserves. My goal is to make sure they arrive healthy, happy, and ready to thrive in their new environment.

A thermal printer is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional printers, as it eliminates the need for ink or toner, reducing chemical waste. It uses heat to print on compostable thermal paper, which minimizes the environmental footprint.
With less energy consumption and fewer consumables, thermal printing significantly cuts down on waste, making it a more sustainable choice.
All of the Labels, rolls and stickers printed though the TSC Printer are all 100% compostable.
How we prepare our inverts for the trip

I design a little "Bioactive Mini Enclosure" specifically for the requirements for each species you order. These will always contain all Live & Natural Materials. The Transport cube is fitted with ventilation holes and an openable lid.
They are then provided with food & water for their travels.
This severely reduces their stress while travelling, and they do not go hungry & thirsty for days as they have food provided.
Severe Stress, Dehydration and Starvation are the leading causes for DOA Inverts.

I pack the interior of their shipping boxes firmly with Compostable Packing Paper. This is to reduce movement in harsh shipping & courier companies.
Many Courier companies do not pay attention to "Live Insect" or "FRAGILE" stickers and will throw boxes with no second thought.
Many Invertebrates have severely suffered due to this reason and poor packaging.
Packing with paper severely reduces or eliminates any movement of their mini enclosures in the shipping box.
This gives the Inverts a comfortable and movement free trip. even if their box is stuck upside down.

Who doesn't love stickers?
Every Order is packed with Beautiful Butterfly, Bug, Beetle or Invertebrate style stickers.
Along with Species Name & Scientific Name Labels which you can use to stick onto their enclosure.
There will be a different name label provided for each species in the order.
After this their Box is sealed with tape and put into our black 100% Compostable Shipping Mailers. A "FRAGILE LIVE INSECT" sticker is provided on top of the box along with recipients address and express shipping tape.
